"Once we start to act, hope is everywhere"

Intent
Our school is committed to sustainability and making environmentally friendly choices in everyday school life. We aim to reduce waste, save energy, and use resources responsibly, while helping students understand the importance of caring for the environment. We want all members of our school community to develop positive habits and a strong sense of responsibility for the world around them, preparing our learners for the future.
Implementation
We promote sustainability through daily practices such as recycling, reducing energy use, and making thoughtful choices about resources. Sustainability is also taught across different areas of the curriculum, with links in subjects such as science, geography, and writing, helping students develop an awareness of how environmental issues affect the world and our future. Staff and students are encouraged to take part in activities and initiatives that support a more sustainable school.
Impact
As a result, students develop a better understanding of environmental issues and how their actions can make a difference. They build practical habits that support sustainability both in school and at home. Over time, this helps create a more environmentally aware school community that is committed to protecting the planet for the future.
