Kerr Mackie is a large and thriving primary school in the Roundhay area of Leeds. We are incredibly proud of our diverse community and welcome pupils from a wide range of backgrounds. Role: Site Superintendent x 2 (1 x Morning and 1 x Afternoon)
Pay scale: B1 pt 4 (13.05 hourly rate)
Contract: Permanent (Starting 1st September 2026)
Working Hours: Part time
Morning role - Monday to Friday 7.00 am - 1.00 pm (27.5 hours per week)
Afternoon role - Monday to Friday 12.15pm - 6.15 pm (27.5 hours per week)
We are seeking to appoint two Site Superintendents to start 1st September 2026. One working mornings and one working afternoons.
One working mornings 7am – 1pm (27.5 hours per week)
One working afternoons 12:15pm – 6:15pm (27.5 hours per week)
Experience in working in a school in a similar role is desirable.
The successful candidates will:
- Under the instruction/guidance of appropriate senior staff provide maintenance and security services on school sites and premises
- Be committed to supporting the school with health & safety commitments, cleaning and maintenance duties and compliance.
- Have high expectations of themselves and the children.
- Be a confident and successful team player.
- Be able to form excellent relationships with children, staff and families
- Have a sense of fun, enthusiasm, initiative and drive.

Role: Level 1 TA with SEMH focus
Pay scale: A1/B1 £12.65-£13.47 hourly rate
Contract: Fixed-term contract until 31/08/2027
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm (32.25 hours per week)
We are seeking to appoint a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our team. Duties will include supporting the class teacher with teaching & learning, SEMH support for pupil(s), carrying out interventions and any other related duties.
The successful candidate will:

Support pupils’ personal, social, health and welfare needs, including implementing individual programmes.

Ensure pupils’ safety, wellbeing and full access to learning throughout the school day.

Provide supervision during lessons and at key times, including lunchtimes and before/after school.

Work closely with pupils with SEMH, delivering targeted 1:1 and small group support.

Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families, acting as a strong role model.

Promote inclusion, high standards of behaviour and a culture of respect and acceptance.

Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute positively to the school community.

Demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative and high expectations, working both independently and as part of a committed team.
