Role: Level 1 TA with SEMH focus
Pay scale: A1/B1 £12.65-£13.47 hourly rate
Contract: Fixed-term contract until 31/08/2027
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm (32.25 hours per week)
We are seeking to appoint a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our team. Duties will include supporting the class teacher with teaching & learning, SEMH support for pupil(s), carrying out interventions and any other related duties.
The successful candidate will:
- Attend to the pupils’ personal needs, and implement related personal programmes, including social, health,physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters
- Supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning
- Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times, including before and after school and at lunchtimes.
- Work with a real focus on SEMH both 1 to 1 and across the cohort
- Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs.
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
- Have a caring and positive nature
- Be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
- Be committed to high standards of behaviour
- Be willing to contribute positively to promote the values and ethos of our school and in developing relationships with the local community
- Be able to work as part of a team but also show initiative to work independently
- Have high expectations of themselves and the children.
