Geography Fluency
Geography Fluency aims to help the children make links to prior learning. Fluency slides and maps will help make links with previous knowledge and enable the children to see links between different geographical locations and environments around the world.
At the start of a new topic each child will be given a fluency sheet which will:
- introduce new vocabulary
- introduce key locations and features
- tell the children about the key people they will be learning about
- explain how the topic is relevant to the modern world.
At the beginning of each lesson, the fluency sheets will be referred to, recapping previous learning, and introducing the day's new learning.
Additionally, Kahoot or Purple Mash quizzes will be used to enthuse pupils and refresh their memories.
At the end of the topic, the children will complete a Pupil Review Sheet to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the topic.
